The project consists of the design and construction of a new neighborhood park in the City of Lawndale. For years, the City of Lawndale had only one park serving its community. In April 2012, TPL secured funding to build a park on a 1.5 acre vacant lot purchased by the City.
Improvements will include a new tot lot and playground area, perimeter walking path, fitness equipment for adults, grassy play area/open space, covered picnic areas, entry plaza, restrooms, screening between neighborhood residences, night-sky friendly lighting and drought-tolerant landscaping
