Student Recreation Center Expansion

UCR Recreation Center expansion necessary to accommodate an additional 22,000 students by 2016. The campus sits on a 1,121-acre site three miles east of downtown Riverside. The original building, constructed in 1994, was designed to support a campus of only 11,000 students. The revamped 155,000 sf, LEED Gold center offers a wide range of indoor and ourdoor fitness spaces as well as a 237,000 gallon swimming pool.

BREEN was the project Civil engineer, providing construction documents and administration including grading, drainage and utilities plans.
