Chinese Garden Phase II
The Huntington Library & Botanical Gardens​

This great project consisted of Civil and Structural site improvements to accommodate Phase 2 of the Chinese Garden at the Huntington Library. Project included grading for new access roads and gardens, garden structures, and utilities. Also included was structural design of elevated deck for new hardscape around existing trees, to be protected. Our design work began in October of 2008.

The new elements included a rock grotto, named Lingering Clouds Peak, and two tile-roofed buildings: the Transcendent Pavilion, which will serve as a performance space and the boat-shaped Waveless Boat Pavilion.
